We hope you enjoy looking through lovely does and bucks. We have a small select herd of quality purebred Nubian's. Herd health is paramount to us. We started testing for CAE in the mid 1990's and still continue today. All negative once again in 2025 for CAE and Johne's. Our herd has never had a suspicious lump so will only be testing for CL every few years. In 2017 we tested for codon 146 (s) the scrapie resistant gene found in Nubian's and Boers. Hat Trick is ranked # 3 in Canada for Type (conformation) and 9th for Type and Production combined. He offers not only improvement in conformation but milk production. He already has several amazing daughters and we were thrilled to add him to our herd in late 2025 just in time from Breeding. We have one of his daughers who was unbeatable as dry yearling winning Jr CH at every show she went too. One of his milking daughters was best udder at the 2025 West National Show. Why we are not worried about disease when raised on their dams. Unlike some farms who may have only tested once, or twice, our goats have tested negative for CAE, Johnes and CL since the late 1990's. In 2015 we started annual testing for CAE and Johnes due the reduction in cost of testing which made it more cost effective. We test periodically for CL (always been negative). We have also tested for Q-Fever several times and always negative.

Are Dam raised kids Wild?We are asked this question all the time. Check out the video to see our 2022 kids....yes they are wild about checking out the camera and pulling my hair, and jumping on me.
We do socialize our kids daily. In past years I have purchased bottle raised kids and they have been the wildest goats I have ever had. They had obviously bonded to just the lamb bar and not had much if any interaction with people. So it all depends on how much time you spend with your kids how friendly they will be. |
